7 Ice Cream Popsicles In Famous Forms & Fabulous Flavors By Russian Ad Agency Stoyn.

Russian ad agency Stoyn participated in a tasty project for Faces & Laces, as annual Moscow art and music show profiling brands from around the world. The agency created 7 different flavored popsicles made with Dolce Bacio ice cream molded into the shapes of well-known characters from Star Wars, Disney and other figures. Made in various natural flavors and colors, the likenesses are wonderfully rendered and detailed with the help of 3D modelers and sculptors:

Darth Vader:

Marilyn Monroe:

Che Guevara:

Vladimir Mayakovsky:

Graffiti Spray Can:

Mario of Mario Bros:

Mickey Mouse:

Donald Duck:

Clever and Cool Curling Container for Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream by Cedric Ragot.

To celebrate its 50 year anniversary, Häagen-Dazs ice cream brand invited several artists to imagine exclusive objects celebrating the tasting ritual of a Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

The 28'18" Moment (28 minute, 18 second) designed by Cedric Ragot, is a take off on the ice sport of Curling. The name is a result of the average time it takes to eat an entire pint of Häagen-Dazs, according to Ragot, although I'm pretty sure I could do it in half that time.

The curling tub contains a tub of ice cream, an Ice Twist, a spoon imagined as a "tool of tasting", along with a DVD of the movie, 28 minutes and 18 seconds by Thomas Lélu with music by SomethingALaMode.

In addition to being a design item that was unveiled at the Salon du Design in Milan last April, the Curling is also isotherm, portable and durable. Perfect for summer picnics, its rotational molding design offers all the necessary features to be faithful to Cédric Ragot's first drawing: respect of the handle's oblong shape, no molded screw for a secure closure. The Curling needed 6 months of technical development and two months for the design of the mold.

The unique commemorative package design is available throughout France only in a limited edition of 250 pieces, but you can pre-order it online at Colette.

While researching for this post, I came across this totally fun Curling ice cube tray:

First Music, then Clothes, Jewelry and Sunglasses. And Now, Pharrell Williams Is Removing Tatts and Designing Furniture.

Pharrell Williams is an Emmy award-winning producer, frontman for N.E.R.D., partner of A Bathing Ape/ Bape brand, founder of clothing lines Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream (I do so love his astronaut jeans, shown below)

A Fashion icon as well, Pharrell was named Best Dressed Man in 2005 by Esquire magazine and was one of the faces in Louis Vuitton's 2006 ad campaign.

He has also designed a line of Louis Vuitton jewelry and sunglasses:

But he's not stopping there. In addition to the latest breaking news that he plans some innovative tattoo removal, he's now designing furniture- at least a chair or two. And ugly furniture at that (sorry, Pharrell).

Pharrell Williams designed the Perspective chair in collaboration with Domeau & Pérès who are manufacturing the piece and will be making the additional chairs.

The chair, as well as another chair design and a table will be part of a show in Paris at the prestigious Emmanuel Perrotin Galerie. The show will be from October 21st 2008 until January 10th 2009. The chairs will be available in a few colors and only 4 of each will be sold. The chair, as explained by Pharrell, represents the love between a woman and man.

When asked about the design, Pharrell says “I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love, not lust for once.. So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat.. I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.”

Location of the exhibition: 10, impasse Saint Claude 75003 Paris

Next up for Pharrell? World Domination :)
