GRADMEN: Creative Circus Enlists Creative Directors To Woo MADMEN's Jon Hamm.

As the Atlanta-based Advertising school students tell the story it all happened one Sunday night. Inspiration struck a few booze-laden advertising students while watching the ad industry's favorite tv drama, Mad Men on AMC. They decided to start a side project to bring actor Jon Hamm to speak in character at their graduation as Don Draper.

The Challenge:

To get get actor Jon Hamm to speak in character as Don Draper at The Creative Circus graduation.

The Pitch:

The students rallied various ad agency Creative Directors to speak, CD to CD, on their behalf.

The Video Plea:

The President of the One Club, Kevin Swanepoel, even sweetened the deal with the offer of a Gold Pencil for Best Fictional Creative Director Ever:

I hope it works (although they may need to woo the writers, too). Best of luck to them!

You can see stills of the Creative Directors who joined the movement on the GRADMEN Flickr page here.

Finally, You Can Get Your Own Bad Robot! The Limited Edition Mascot Maquette.

You may recognize this little guy from the closing of J.J. Abrams' popular tv shows like LOST, Fringe and Alias or the sign off on the latest Star Trek movie. The mascot for the production company, shown below [looped] in the 2 second television sign-off, Bad Robot, is now available in a special limited edition made by Quantum Mechanix.

Offered to the public for the first time, this mischievous mascot of Bad Robot Productions stands 10-inches tall and is cast in solid polystone. Sculpted from the original digital model, each statue in this 1,000 piece edition is hand painted in exceptional detail and features modular arms. Every Bad Robot Maquette is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity, and as a special bonus, the unique sculpture includes a removable Slusho drink that fits in his little robot craw.

The sci-fi and entertainment collectible is already sold at at Quantum Mechanix but you can still buy one here!

The Best, Worst & Color-Coded Couture From The 2011 Golden Globes.

above: January Jones' Golden Globes will probably be remembered long after the award ceremony.

The 68th Annual Golden Globes, where the Hollywood Foreign Press honor the best of movies and television, took place tonight (the nominees and winners can be seen here). Ricky Gervais was entertainingly brutal as the host and Hollywood's creme-de-la-creme attended.

As often is the case with award shows, the fashions are as fun to critique as the nominees. Below are what I felt were the Best and Worst dressed, along with gowns grouped by color, for your perusal.

To see the designers and the jewelers for the images below, go here.

Best Dressed
The following actresses were donning elegant, age-appropriate, well-fitting, tasteful and simply beautiful gowns.

Megan Fox:

Worst Dressed
Tacky, ugly, bizarre and/or just plain unflattering.

Helena Bonham-Carter:

Tilda Swinton and Christina Aguilera:

and although the dress isn't horrible, Julie Stiles looks about 70 years old and Gabourey Sidibe donned a sparkly muumuu:
