Church Keys To the City. Map-Engraved Beer Bottle Opener Necklaces.

Husband and wife design duo, Vivian Cheng and Eric Jean-Louis of Blend Creations have added some new designs to their inspired collections of modern stainless steel jewelry. Joining their designer artist pendants, bar code, QR code and custom photo necklaces are engraved pendants that double as a functioning bottle openers. The abstract looking patterns are maps of the birthplaces of eight well known and loved beers from around the world.

Now, no matter where you are, you can open a bottle in style. Better yet, if you find yourself drunk and wandering the streets of Amsterdam, you can just glance down and find your way to more booze.

Jewelry The Cat Coughed Up. Feline Furball Necklaces, Earrings and Rings.

Okay, so it hasn't actually been digested by a cat, but the custom jewelry by Moderncat blogger and jewelry designer Heidi Abrahamson, is actually made from the fur of a feline.

The one-of-a-kind pieces where made when Kate Benjamin (shown modeling the jewelry above) gave several cats a good grooming (she recommends the Furminator) and then hand-rolled each ball of cat fur into a tight bead. By rolling the loose fur between her palms, the strands become felted together, forming a solid little bead. Her friend Heidi then added her silversmithing skills by attaching jewelry findings to the furballs and then mounting them on earrings, ring shanks and chains.

Yes, Heidi said she would be happy to create custom hairball jewelry for you, too! Feel free to contact her for pricing and details.

Real Road Kill Bracelets by Metalsmith, Jeweler and Taxidermist Lucy Jenkins.

One of the best uses of Road Kill I've ever seen. These unusual and surprisingly attractive bracelets were made by award-winning metalsmith/jeweler/taxidermist Lucy Jenkins.

The gold-plated and sterling silver Road Kill Fur bangles are lined with fur sourced from actual Road kill and engraved with the Latin name of the animal and the road from which it was sourced. The Road Kill Range attempts to create a new way of wearing ethical fur for aesthetic purposes.

Oryctolagus Cuniculus (rabbit), found on the A3052 - Gold Plate, Road Kill Rabbit Fur:

"NO ANIMALS WERE KILLED FOR THE PURPOSE OF THESE PIECES" is actually printed on the lid of the presentation box for the bracelets.

Lupus Americanus (hare), found on the B3212 - Gold Plate, Road Kill Hare Fur:

The above two bracelets were available for purchase at Luna and Curious but have been sold out.

Other bracelets from the range (not for sale):
